Activity Types are added to each Activity within your portfolio
What are Activity Types?
In FieldDoc, Activity Types refer to predefined categories of environmental actions or tasks that users can assign to their Activities. These categories help standardize the way environmental work is classified, tracked, and reported, making it easier for organizations to manage and analyze their projects.
You can review the entire list of Activity Types supported by FieldDoc on your right-hand panel under Resources.
Key benefits of Activity Types:
- Predefined List: FieldDoc offers a growing list of over 300 nature-based Activity Types, covering a wide range of conservation and restoration actions, such as tree planting, wetland restoration, stormwater management, and habitat creation.
- Standardization: By assigning specific Activity Types to tasks, users ensure consistent data collection and reporting across projects and programs. This helps with analysis, comparison, and reporting to funders or regulators.
- Link to Environmental Models: Many Activity Types can be linked to environmental models that calculate estimated outcomes, such as pollution reduction or habitat restoration. This enables organizations to quantify the benefits of their work using industry-standard methodologies.
- Customization: While FieldDoc provides a robust list of Activity Types, users can also adapt them to fit the specific needs of their projects, helping them meet various compliance and reporting requirements.
In summary, Activity Types in FieldDoc streamline project management, improve data accuracy, and enable organizations to effectively report on the environmental impact of their activities' estimated outcomes, such as pollution reduction or habitat restoration. This allows organizations to quantify the benefits of their work using industry-standard methodologies.
