# What are models?

FieldDoc hosts a growing library of leading industry environmental models. These models can be attached to folders, activity records, or pacts to demonstrate the estimated environmental benefits that will be achieved from implementation of a conservation or restoration action.

How models calculate outcomes are based on the model input requirements.

When using a model, we highly recommend that you walk through the guidance language to make sure that you are entering accurate inputs.
