Curious about what FieldDoc is? We have planted this help center with all sorts of content to help you thrive in the FieldDoc platform. Let's dig in!

We like to describe FieldDoc as a set of building blocks for managing and sharing your nature-based projects, including:

  • Activity records

  • Geospatial data and maps

  • Metrics and dashboards

  • Funding reports

  • Collaborative workspaces

  • Real-time progress tracking

FieldDoc is different from other project-tracking tools in a few important ways. Once you master these core features, you'll be equipped to manage your organization's entire portfolio effortlessly and communicate your impact effectively.

Most importantly, don't worry about knowing everything right away. We'll explore it together. Let's look at the key components to get you started in the system!

Onboard yourself and your team

On-board yourself

To access FieldDoc, you'll first need to create a FieldDoc account. Every user must have their own account, which should be associated with your organization.

Once you're logged in, you'll start building records that digitally represent your real-world nature-based initiatives—everything from convening planning sessions and monitoring water quality, to installing BMPs that restore ecosystem function. FieldDoc makes it easy to track, share, and demonstrate the impact of your work.

On-board your team

Anyone from your organization can get themselves set up in FieldDoc. And once you're all in the system, you'll be able to access and manage the same data. As you're onboarding your team, make sure that you're using work email addresses with the same email domain. We've done our best to streamline the on-boarding process, but if you need help to set up your organization or get assigned to the correct organization, reach out to [email protected] and we will assist you.

Find your collaborators

FieldDoc is the ultimate group project. We've created a lot of access points and opportunities to share data and data management responsibilities. You can share your entire organization workspace with partners and technical service providers, or share a subset of your records with these external professionals.
